Champagne Xavier LECONTE, saignée 2 terroirs, brut, rosé, millésime 2015

2 in stock

This champagne is a blend of Pinot noir (50%) and Meunier (50%), carefully selected grapes from 2 different plots but one single best year. It is a Rosé de Saignée, or orange wine, meaning the grapes skins are shortly macerated with the wine until the desired colour has been reached.

With their Saignée 2 Terroirs, Xavier Leconte and his son Alexis, have succeeded in combining the quality of grapes grown on 2 different plots. This rosé millésime champagne is a blend of 2015 Pinot noir (50%) and Meunier (50%). The rosé colour is obtained by the Saignée technique with a maceration of 48 hours, which explains the profound dark rosé robe.

The nose is intense and reveals harmonious aromas of red berries, such as currants and stewed strawberries. The mouth is long and rich and beautifully dominated by red fruits flavors.

This exceptional rosé is ideal for exclusive situations. It can be served for an aperitif but would also accompany a diner with meat or game.
